A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Rita-St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maple City for lifelong Maple City resident Anthony “Tony” Joseph Kurina who died March 17 at the Maple Valley Nursing Home. He was 74.

He was born on June 14, 1932, to the late John and Antonette (Horak) Kurina in Maple City. His longtime companion, Mary Salisbury of Maple City, survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Pauline Raihala of Central Lake; a sister, Millie Drzewlecki of Maple City; and three grandchildren.

Burial will take place at St. Rita-St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to his family.
