High school students who have demonstrated a strong ability and interest in natural science are invited to apply for W.R. Angell Natural Science Scholarships and Peta Williams Memorial Biology Environmental Science Scholarships at Northwestern Michigan College.
A number of awards of $1,000 per semester are available to qualifying students, and the scholarship is renewable for a second year.
Selection criteria include a high school minimum grade point average of 3.0 and recommendations from high school science teaching staff. Recipients must also be enrolled at NMC full-time or part-time and take at least once course in natural sciences each semester.
