Anna Rose Peplinski

1915-2007

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at St. Rita-St. Joseph Church in Maple City, for Anna Rose Peplinski who died March 25 at Munson Hospice House. She was 91.

She was born on Nov. 2, 1915, in Solon Township, to John and Frances (Jakee) Winowiecki. At St. Rita Parish in Maple City, she married Frank Peplinski, who preceded her in death on March 25, 1977.

During World War II, she worked at Acme Line and Parts Manufacturing, both in Traverse City. She raised a family, and enjoyed gardening, embroidering and baking. She was originally a member of St. Francis Church in Traverse City before she and her husband moved back to Maple City in 1971.

She is survived by her children, Janice Bloom of Traverse City, Cynthia (Eugene) Draper of Interlochen; Jerome (Pamela) Peplinski of Maple City; half-sisters Delores Klocek of Ohio and Cecilia Herip of Traverse City; half-brother Albert Winowiecki of Traverse City; seven grandchildren and 12-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Winowiecki; sister, Helen Scheffler; half-brothers Andrew and Lawrence Winowiecki; and half-sisters Maggie Klocek, Theresa Flaska, Veronica Brink, Sophie Murchie and Lillian Kull.

Memorial donations may be directed to Munson Hospice House.
