Glen Lake High School and the Cedar-Maple City Lions Club have announced that Brittany Mikowski and Justin Priest are students of the month for January and February.

Mikowski, a senior, is the daughter of Carol Mikowski of Traverse City. She was nominated by several staff members who described her as having an excellent personality and a student who is hard-working, focused on her studies, responsible and enthusiastic.

Priest, a junior, is the son of Lori Priest of Cedar. He was nominated by teacher Kris Herman as well as other staff members for his earnestness and effort.

“Justin doesn’t do well in school to get good grades; Justin does well because of his love of learning,” Herman wrote about Priest.

For being exemplary students, Mikowski and Priest each received a plaque from the school and a savings bond from the Lions Club.
