Golf scramble to aid Comet baseball

Leland baseball supporters will get their own chance to swing at a ball May 19 at the inaugural Championship Drive golf scramble hosted by King's Challenge Golf Course.

All funds from the tournament will be turned over to the Leland baseball program.

Individuals may sign up for $75; the cost is $300 for 3-man teams. The entrance fee includes 18 rounds of golf and a prime rib dinner.

A shotgun scramble will kick off at 1 p.m.

To sign up or for more information, contact Doug Lichty at the Traverse City Golf Center at 947-1185, or coach Hank Burch at 620-8808. Donations from non-players are also being solicited.
