Carol Rivers of Leland was named to the dean's list at Emory College, the undergraduate liberal arts school of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., for the 2006 fall semester.

She is the daughter of James C. Rivers and Georgia P. Rivers of Leland.

At Emory College, students must be in the top 20 percent of their class or have a grade point average of approximately 3.82 or higher to be named to the dean’s list.
