A kindergarten open house has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, at Leland Public School.
Those attending should plan to spend 30 to 45 minutes at the open house so their children’s vision and hearing can be checked. A nurse from the Benzie-Leelanau Health Department will review and check immunization records, and parents will also meet with kindergarten teacher Merry Lynn Bouckaert.
Those who would like to attend should call the school at 256-9857 for an appointment. School. Callers will be asked for their addresses so an information packet with forms needed to be completed before the open house can be mailed. Parents are also asked to bring their child’s birth certificate, Social Security card and immunization records.
To be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2007-08 school year, children must be five years of age by Dec., 1, 2007.
