The Suttons Bay Public School Montessori program is seeking donations for its third annual "Clean Sweep" giant garage sale, to be held May 19-20.
“If you are doing some spring cleaning we would love to have your castoffs to help raise money for our school,” said Megan Battdorf, president of the Leelanau Montessori Friends.
Tax-deductible contributions may be dropped off Friday, May 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Suttons Bay High School cafeteria. Parent volunteers will be on hand to help unload. Car seats, mattresses, major appliances or non-working electronics will not be accepted.
For those unable to make the May 18 drop-off day, earlier donations may be arranged by calling Clean Sweep Chairman Hadley Vukasovich at 271-2928.
The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. the following day. Everything left after Saturday will be reduced in price on Sunday.
“Like last year, there will be ton of great stuff at great prices,” Battdorf said.
Proceeds will benefit Suttons Bay’s growing public Montessori program, which includes more than 100 children from toddlers through sixth grade who come from all over the county.
