Norse take pair from Lakers

The clutch pitching of Anthony Stewart propelled Suttons Bay to a sweep of Glen Lake on Tuesday in the Northwest Conference baseball opener for both Leelanau County teams.

Leelanau Classic is all set - except for the location

The second annual Leelanau Classic baseball and softball tournament is on for Saturday — but where it will be played was still up in the air as of Wednesday morning.
"Our parking lot is 3 feet in slush and mud," said Leland baseball coach Hank Burch. "It may have to be moved to Suttons Bay."

That was the reaction from Suttons Bay varsity boys’ and girls’ track coach Cody Inglis after the Norse teams finally had to a chance to compete Tuesday at Glen Lake.

Comets, Wildcats, T-birds win in tennis

Taxable values of real estate up 7.78 percent

Channel OK'd for overflow issue

A permit for work to improve drainage on M-109 near the Dune Climb has been issued to the National Park Service by the state Department of Environmental Quality.
The Park Service has received a permit to excavate approximately 83 cubic yards of material to create a 166-foot long, 3-foot stream channel under M-109.
