Registration is under way for a "bicycle commuting" class hosted by Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation (TART) Trails, Inc., which manages the Leelanau Trail.
The free classes will involve two hours of classroom instruction and one hour of on-road training. Class dates will be Saturday, May 12, 2-5 p.m., and Thursday, June 14, 4-7 p.m. at Scholars Hall, Room 101, on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City.
The classes will be taught by League of American Bicyclists certified instructor Reuben Chapman of Empire. For more information, call 941-4300.
