Kyran and Lenora Gilland of Lake Leelanau observed their golden wedding anniversary on Friday.

Kyran John Gilland and Lenora Mae Botruff were married on April 27, 1957 in Muskegon. The Gillands have four children and seven grandchildren.

The Gillands were guests of honor at a private family celebration at the Bluebird on Sunday that was hosted by their daughter Melinda Gilland and grandson Alex.
