Melanie Rebecca Secson and Jonathon Eugene Borton, both of Suttons Bay, have announced their wedding engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Greg and Jean Moe of Suttons Bay. She is a graduate of Suttons Bay High School and earned an associate’s degree from Davenport University in the executive administrative assistant program. She is employed as a medical records clerk at Grand Traverse Heart Associates.

The future groom is the son of Ivan and Karen Borton of Manton. He is a graduate of Manton High School and Central Michigan University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in health fitness. He is currently in the physician’s assistant master’s program at CMU and will graduate in July.

The couple plans an Aug. 11 wedding.
