Northern Michigan Helping Hands will hold a strawberry social next month in Traverse City.
The social will be held on Sunday, June 10, from 1-4 p.m. at Emmanuel Methodist Church, which is located in Traverse City at the corner of Ninth and Wadsworth streets. The event will include strawberry shortcake, ice cream, a silent auction, and entertainment.
Proceeds will go toward scholarships for NMHH’s summer speech therapy program, which is offered to children in Leelanau and 23 other northern Michigan counties. NMHH is affiliated with the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation and works with community groups to help people with disabilities.
