Tendercare Health Center of Leelanau County in Suttons Bay received the Quality Improvement Organization's (AIO) 2006 Michigan Award of Excellence for Improving Care in a nursing home setting last week.

The Suttons Bay facility was recognized for establishing a multidisciplinary team to spearhead improvement using evidence-based practices, the QIO said.
