The Great Lakes Children’s Museum in Elmwood Township is seeking nominations to its board of trustees.

The group currently has five openings on its 15-member board and is seeking greater demographic and geographic diversity with a particular interest in individuals with education, marketing, public relations and fund development expertise.

Board members are responsible for ensuring the organization is adequately funded and staffed, providing financial support and assisting with fund and donor development, and evaluating organizational and other functions.

Expectations of board members include attendance at bimonthly meetings, participation on board committees and in board development and training programs, and assistance with and attendance at special events.

Nominations should include: full name of nominee, complete address with contact information, information on qualifications and interests, resume, letters of support, and biographical or other information.
