Editor’s Note: The Leelanau Enterprise has begun listing how much a property was paid for as part of the information provided on public documents listed with the county Register of Deeds. The term “valuation affidavit filed” means the people involved in the deed transfer wanted to keep the price they paid for the property confidential. The public may pick up a valuation affidavit form at the county Register of Deeds office in Leland, and the county charges no fee for filing the affidavit. If a deed is transferred and the amount listed on the deed is zero or $1, we will not list those amounts.
