Joseph Rexroat is the valedictorian and Colin Korson salutatorian for St. Mary School’s Class of 2007.

Joseph Rexroat
Rexroat, the son of Doug and Jozell Rexroat of Lake Leelanau, has served as class president for three years. He is also a member of the St. Mary National Honor Society, the high school choir, and president of the St. Mary Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter.
His extracurricular activities have included participation in the Leelanau Youth Advisory Council and Leelanau County 4-H. Rexroat was also an athlete during his high school career, playing football (cooperatively with Suttons Bay), baseball and basketball. He earned conference honors and served as baseball and basketball co-captain this year.
Rexroat has earned the Michigan Competitive Scholarship award, the Michigan Promise Grant, and Outstanding High School Graduate Scholarship from Central Michigan University, and the Leelanau Prospector Club’s scholarship. He is enrolled in the physical therapy program at CMU, where he has been accepted into the health professions residential college.
Korson, the son of Don and Mary Ann Korson of Suttons Bay, served as class treasurer and vice president of the BPA chapter. As a sophomore, he placed first in payroll accounting at the BPA national competition and is a 4-year member of Natural Helpers.

Colin Korson
As an athlete, he was co-captain of the Norsemen varsity football team, of the St. Mary varsity basketball team, and is captain and starting pitcher for the St. Mary baseball team. Colin was named first team all conference in baseball as a junior, and this year received all-conference honorable mention in basketball.
Korson’s accolades include the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award as a junior. He was awarded the Michigan Promise Grant, the Michigan Competitive scholarship and the BPA scholarship from Northwood University in Midland, where he will attend this fall to student accounting.
