Northwestern Bank, the largest independent community bank in northern Michigan, will open an office in Leland.
The storefront office will be located in the space formerly occupied by The Tin Soldier at 113 North Main St., and will open this summer, though no date was announced.
Northwestern’s newest office will offer weekday and Saturday lobby hours, a walk-up ATM, safe deposit boxes and an after-hours depository.
“We already have a number of customers in Leland and other Leelanau County communities,” said John Visser, Northwestern’s vice president for Leelanau County. “This office is being opened in response to their requests for an additional location.”
Northwestern currently serves the Leelanau area with an office in downtown Suttons Bay as well as its newest location in the West Bay Shopping Center on M-22. See Sec. 2, Pg. 19 for details on the new West Bay branch.
