State Rep. David L. Palsrok (R-Manistee) and state Sen. Michelle McManus (R-Lake Leelanau) will attend a dedication ceremony for the renaming of the M-22 bridge over the Glen Lake Narrows.
The bridge will be called the Carl Oleson Jr. Memorial Bridge in honor of the man who was a longtime supporter of Glen Lake. Oleson was also the former owner of The Sportsman Shop in Glen Arbor.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. on the north end of the bridge. Two signs will be unveiled as part of the ceremony. The signs are temporary, however, since the Michigan Department of Transportation will rebuild the bridge in 2008. The public is invited to attend.
