Gas station keepsakes from the Mary Scott collection and photos of Mervau's Drugstore through the years are featured at the Northport Area Heritage Museum, which opened this month in new quarters at Northport’s historic depot building.
The museum also features historical information from Leelanau Memorial Hospital and Leelanau Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, scrapbooks created by Northport native Norma Fredrickson Fretheim, old railroad pictures, and a selection of black and white photos of local landmarks.
Admission to the museum is free. Hours are 1 to 4 p.m. each Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Additional information is available by calling Jackie Kilgren at 386-5716.
