Frank Skrocki of Empire is the lone applicant for a vacant seat on the Glen Lake Board of Education.
Skrocki was the only candidate to submit a letter of interest before the board’s June 4 deadline for applicants. Skrocki, unable to attend Monday’s monthly meeting due to a prescheduled work commitment, will sit before the school board when it meets in special session Monday at 7:30 p.m.
Skrocki and his wife have three children attending Glen Lake. If appointed, Skrocki would serve until the next school election when voters will elect a candidate to fill the remainder of former trustee David Harris, who stepped down last month after conflicts with Superintendent Joan Groening and board President Joan Hawley.
