Orville and Frances Egeler of Belmont, Mich., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 22 at the Assumption Catholic Church community center in Belmont. About 200 guests attended the reception.

Orville Egeler, formerly of Leelanau Township, and the former Frances Arredondo of Grand Rapids were married on March 2, 1957 at St. James Catholic Church in Grand Rapids. The maid of honor was Barbara Hartuniewicz and the best man was Joseph Arredondo.

On Sunday, March 4, a Mass was celebrated for the couple at Assumption Catholic Church, followed by a family brunch.

The Egelers are the parents of five children, 13 grandchildren and four great-granchildren.
