Maia Sahs of Northport was honored as the winner of the "Mature Student Award" by the Northport Women’s Club at its June 5 meeting.

Sahs attends Northwestern Michigan College, where she is completing her nursing degree, and also works and volunteers. She received an educational grant from the club.

The annual award is made possible through the club’s sale of Northport Home Tour tickets. This year’s tour of five homes will be held on Wednesday, July 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Northport and Omena areas.
