The Summer Music Series sponsored by the Leland Michigan Chamber of Commerce starts Wednesday, June 27.

Each Wednesday through Aug. 22 the chamber has musicians perform from 7-9 p.m. on the lawn between Harbor Square, Leelanau Books and the Tin Soldier.

Dane Hyde and Jonah Powell start the series and will play music on the blues side of folk on acoustic guitar and fiddle.

Following is a list of the other performances and performers:

— July 4, Blind Dog Hank, traditional and contemporary blues and rock and roll;
— July 11, The Doggone Cowboys, Old Time music, rock, folk and Motown;
— July 18, Blind Dog Hank;
— July 25, The Doggone Cowboys;
— Aug. 1, Big Noise, a jazz sextet;
— Aug. 8, Blind Dog Hank;
— Aug. 15, Big Noise;
— Aug. 22, Dane Hyde and Jonah Powell.
The series is free, but free-will donations are accepted.
