Three authors are appearing at Glen Arbor book events

The Cottage Book Shop in Glen Arbor will host three authors in events this month.

On Friday, June 22, a book presentation and signing reception will be held for Leland author Priscilla Cogan from 6-8 p.m. The award-winning author recently released Double Trouble, which has been described as a novel within a novel to demonstrate the life-changing impacts of books. Cover illustrator Kristin Hurlin will also be present.

Cogan is the author of a series of three novels – Winona’s Web (1996), Compass of the Heart (1998), and Crack at Dusk: Crook of Dawn (2000) – that provide insights into the clash of Lakota and Anglo cultures.

Spiritual writer Carrie Brown-Wolf will be hosting a family-based playshop, The Golden Rule, on Sunday, June 24, at 1 p.m. The playshop is designed for families to increase their faith and spirituality. Brown-Wolf is the author of Soul Sunday: A Family’s Guide to Exploring Faith and Teaching.

On Friday, June 28, a book launching reception for Northport ‘s John Mitchell will be held from 6-8 p.m. Mitchell is the author of Wood Boats of Leelanau: A Photographic Journal.
