Jacob Egeler, son of Michael and Jeanette Egeler of Northport, is valedictorian of Northport’s Class of 2007.

Egeler earned several honors, including senior honor roll medal, English award 2007; All-A award, Academic Achievement Award, Detroit Free Press writing award, E. Suddard and R. Kellogg scholarship, Central Michigan University Board of Trustees outstanding high school student scholarship, the outstanding student and perfect attendance award from the Career-Tech Center, and the Career Tech Center Scholarship.

He plans to attend Central Michigan University and study information technology and computer science.

Jessie Earl, daughter of Patti Reamer, is salutatorian of Northport’s Class of 2007. She was the National Honor Society vice president and served in that capacity as senior class representative on Student Council. She was also a Natural Helper; served on the Youth Advisory Council and was published in Exposures, the student literary and arts magazine.

She also earned the Northport 2007 English award, Alma College Presidential and Trustee Scholarships; Barb’s Boys Scholarship, Florence F. Every Scholarship, Northport Academic Achievement Award, Michigan Competitive Scholarship, Michigan Promise Scholarship, and senior honor roll.

She will attend Alma College and pursue liberal arts studies.
