633 will reopen to traffic

To accommodate cherry harvesting and a seasonal increase in traffic, the county Road Commission will reopen County Road 633 between Lakeview Hills and Bingham roads beginning at noon on Friday, June 29.

Leland July 4 parade entries being accepted

Parade entries are being accepted for the Leland Fourth of July parade slated for 3 p.m. next Wednesday.
Prizes will be awarded in the several categories, including most unique, most humorous, best business entry, best antique automobile, best musical group, best costume (child), best costume (adult), best theme entry, and “best in parade.”

Church plans outdoor series of concerts

A series of outdoor concerts is planned this summer by the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church.
The first G.L.O.W. (Glen Lake Outdoor Worship) program on Sunday, July 1, will feature Mark and Andrea Forester of Flint. On the following Sunday, July 8, the G.L.O.W. program will feature Lynnelle Pierce of Zeeland, Mich.

The Grand Traverse Yacht Club in Greilickville will host a regatta, dinner and silent auction to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on Wednesday, July 4.
