Also, keep a day open for the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall at the Leelanau Sands July 13-15. Not all of us support our government these days, but let’s not forget our people in uniform. Support them, remember them.

Have you noticed the Nelson House lately? Fresh paint is being applied to the windows and the porch. And the landscaping is looking great. A special thanks to board members Mike, Marcia and Kathy. Looks good.

I would like to remind OVPA members to keep Sunday, July 15, open so you can attend the annual membership meeting. Three new board members will be elected to serve three-year terms. Members being active in a volunteer organization is important. Also, to anyone interested in the preservation of Omena: please stop by the meeting and chat with your neighbors and ask questions; you may find that you will want to become an active member.
