P.E.O. chapter hosting Reciprocity luncheon

P.E.O. Chapter EM of Suttons Bay will host the 79th annual P.E.O. Northwest Michigan Reciprocity luncheon Wednesday, July 18 at Black Star Farms in Bingham Township.

Anchor Day in Empire brings parades, dancing, games and food

Anchor Day is always the third Saturday in July and the parade that starts around 1 p.m. brings out many of the 2,000 people who live there in the summer (250 in the winter) to watch and cheer along with the others like us from Traverse City and our friends the Woodruff's from Cedar.

Large cherry crop forecast

Northern Michigan sweet cherries will be available for the National Cherry Festival this year. And the harvest of tart cherries - a lot of tart cherries - will follow soon after.
