New York Times bestselling author and Edgar nominee P.J. Parrish will be at The Cottage Book Shop in Glen Arbor Friday, July 6, for the debut of A Thousand Bones.
Parrish is actually the collaboration of sisters and Detroit natives Kristy Montee and Kelly Nichols. Both grew up with a similar passion for creative writing and their artistic tastes lay on opposite ends of the spectrum — that is, until they began working together on their mystery series featuring a young detective named Louis Kincaid.
The series, which was brought to a close in February 2006 with An Unquiet Grave, set the stage for Parrish’s latest book, A Thousand Bones, which follows the life of Kincaid’s lover, female detective Joe Frye.
Montee and Nichols will be at The Cottage Book Shop Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, call 334-4223.
