The Suttons Bay Conservation League recently held elections for club officers.
Mark Smith was elected as president, Bob Notke and Harley Smith as vice presidents, Jane Smith as treasurer, and Dave Wilburn as secretary.
Harley Smith is also the most recent recipient of the league’s Distinguished Service Award.
The club was established in 1987 and is dedicated to the preservation of wildlife and its habitat. The league sponsors a Golden Arrow Archery contest in September as a warm-up for the deer bow hunting season.
The group also sponsors a $500 scholarship for high school students planning to study conservation in college. Jennifer Bush of Glen Lake High School is this year’s award winner.
