G-L church will offer Vacation Bible School

Glen Lake Community Reformed Church will offer a Vacation Bible School for children age four through the fifth grade, July 23-27, from 9 a.m. until noon.
The “Avalanche Ranch Community Vacation Bible School” will feature Bible learning activities, songs and food.  Participants will also work on a mission project for orphans in Africa.

Ohio university places Schlueter on dean's list

Matt Schlueter, son of Steve and Vicki Schlueter of Suttons Bay, was named to the dean’s list for the spring term at University of Northeastern Ohio.

Lingaur places second at leadership event

Michael Lingaur, son of Dale and Josephine Lingaur of Cedar, earned a second-place award in computer programming at the 41st Annual National Leadership Conference of the Business Professionals of America in New York this spring.

Skowronski on Oregon university's dean's list

Tiffany Skowronski, daughter of Tom and Judy Skowronski of Suttons Bay, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Southern Oregon University.
She is a 2004 graduate of the St. Mary School in Lake Leelanau.

Lymphadema Network support group to meet

The Lymphadema Network of Northern Michigan Support Group will meet on Tuesday, July 31 at Premier Fitness on Garfield Avenue in Traverse City.

Violinist’s final Benzie appearence set July 22

The Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 22 at the Lake Ann Methodist Church.
