Graveside services have been held at the Solon Township Cemetery for Jean Olive Rudy who died July 2 at Munson Hospice House. She was 77.

Born Oct. 8, 1929, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Alluvot) Yurgin. Her husband of 53 years, William John Rudy, survives.

She and her husband moved from Warren to the Traverse City area four years ago to be closer to family.

Also surviving are her children, William J. (Melanie) Rudy of Cedar, Linda (Tom) Ross of North Branch and Daniel (Kathleen) Rudy of Alden; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, James and Joseph Yurgin.
