Burial services will be held Saturday, July 28, at 11:30 a.m., in the Solon Township Cemetery, with refreshments following at the Solon Township Hall in Cedar, for Roy Thomas Reynolds who died March 19 in Ann Arbor. He was 71.

He was born in Hillman on March 24, 1936, to Arthur and Agnes (White) Reynolds. His wife, Ruth, survives.

Many of his ancestors lived in Leelanau County in the last century with some family members remaining. After his retirement as a journalist from the Ann Arbor News, he spent many summers in Leelanau County, pursuing his hobbies of bicycle riding, sketching and hiking.

Also surviving are his son Thomas (Tamara) of Littleton, Colo., and a granddaughter.
