86th District Court proceedings

Editor’s note: Because of incorrect information given to the Enterprise, Larry R. Clink Jr. was incorrectly identified as his father, who has the same name, in the July 5 District Court listings. His correct age is 31.

Cody L. Wieserman, 21, 4950 S. Maple City Rd., Apt. 8, Maple City — Found not guilty by a jury of aggravated assault; bond canceled. Prior to jury trial, court approved two defense motions, one to not allow evidence from prior convictions and one to allow statements made in transit.

Rickie L. Swonger, 22, 1542 Driftwood Dr., Traverse City — Pleaded guilty to drunk driving; to serve one day in jail with credit for one day served; $125 Sheriff’s Department expense; $100 fine; $600 costs; $50 state crime victims fund; $45 state judicial fee; not to consume or be in possession of alcohol and illegal drugs; not to enter bars, except for work; to take and pass random alcohol and drug screenings at probation officer’s discretion; six months probation.

Cynthia R. Robinson, 34, 2766 Richard Place, Traverse City — Appeared for two bench warrants for failure to pay fine and costs owed; bench warrants recalled; defendant to set up a new payment plan.

Ricardo M. Roman, 55, P.O. Box 53, Northport — Appeared for a restitution hearing on a dog at large charge; defendant agrees to pay $2,273.51 in additional restitution for costs related to animal attack.

Taro C. Taylor, 28, P.O. Box 327, Empire — Pleaded guilty to failure to pay fine and costs owed; after release from jail to set up payment plan.

David P. Rains, 22, 307 N. Spruce St., Traverse City — Failed to appear for a show cause hearing on failure to pay fine and costs owed; bench warrant issued; bond equal to amount owed.

Sarah A. Jones, 22, 711 NE 23rd Terrace, No. 504, Miami, Fla. — Failed to appear for a show cause hearing on failure to pay fine and costs owed; bench warrant issued; bond equal to amount owed.

Daniel J. Broome, 26, 2335 N. Nish Nah Bah Mikun, Suttons Bay — Pleaded guilty to a probation violation; probation revoked; to serve 21 additional days in jail with credit for one day served; work release granted; fine and costs owed preserved.

Ronald G. Bryan Jr., 30, 5061 Winifred St., Wayne — Pleaded guilty under a plea bargain arrangement to driving while license suspended; to serve credit for time served; $75 fine; $100 costs; $50 state crime victims fund; $45 state judicial fee.

Charles M. Foust, 49, 919 S. Elm St., Suttons Bay — Pleaded guilty to a probation violation; probation revoked; to serve 93 days in jail with credit for time served; fine and costs owed preserved.

Jacob F. Finstad, 22, 10109 Front St., P.O. Box 124, Empire — Pleaded guilty to a probation violation; probation revoked; to serve nine months in jail with credit for 81 days served; May serve jail time in Benzie County; work release granted; fine and costs owed preserved.

Derek L. Lee, 44, 1848 30th St., SW, Apt. A, Wyoming — Sentenced for driving while impaired; to serve 90 days in jail with credit for eight days served; no work release granted; jail time may be served in Grand Traverse County if arrangements can be made; $125 Suttons Bay Police Department expense; $200 fine; $600 costs; $50 state crime victims fund; $45 state judicial fee; no probation.

Sonja D. Chippewa, 18, 2968 N. W. Bay Shore Dr., Suttons Bay — Sentenced for assault and assault and battery; to perform three days of community service work on Sheriff’s work program; $100 costs; $50 state crime victims fund; $45 state judicial fee; $350 Circuit Court-appointed attorney program fee; not to have contact directly or indirectly with the victim; not to show violence toward anyone; three months probation; defendant sentenced under delayed sentencing rules; if defendant completes all requirements of probation, the charge will be dismissed.

Sherry L. Morris, 34, P.O. Box 241, Suttons Bay — Appeared for a show cause hearing on failure to pay fine and costs owed; defendant to set up weekly payments of $25. Also sentenced for assault and assault and battery; to perform three days of community service work on Sheriff’s work program; $200 costs; $50 state crime victims fund; $45 state judicial fee; $350 Circuit Court appointed attorney program fee; defendant sentenced under delayed sentencing rules; if defendant completes all requirements of probation, the charge will be dismissed.

Luiz Longoria, 43, 5930 E. Duck Lake Rd., Lake Leelanau — Pleaded guilty to domestic violence; sentencing scheduled for July 20 at 10 a.m.; bond reduced to $1,000 personal recognizance; to have no contact with victims.

Matthew D. Barber, 34, 2802 Holiday Pines Rd., Traverse City — Pleaded guilty under a plea bargain arrangement to larceny from $200 to $1,000; sentencing scheduled for Aug. 31, 2007 at 10 a.m.; restitution hearing to be held at same time; bond continued.

Laura A. Barber, 44, 2302 Holiday Pines Rd., Traverse City — Pleaded guilty under a plea bargain arrangement to larceny from $200 to $1,000; sentencing scheduled for Aug. 31, 2007 at 10 a.m.; restitution hearing to be held at same time; bond continued.

Sean R. Kickbush, 30, P.O. Box 274, Lake Leelanau — Failed to appear for a show cause hearing on failure to pay fine and costs owed; bench warrant issued; bond equal to amount owed.

Andrew J. Raphael, 28, 3815 Ninatigo Rd., Suttons Bay — Sentenced for second offense driving while impaired; to serve one day in jail with credit for one day served; $125 Sheriff’s Department expense; $100 fine; $600 costs; $50 state crime victims fund; $45 state judicial fee; not to consume nor be in possession of alcohol and illegal drugs; must attend Grand Traverse Band Drug Court and follow all rules; two years probation.

Saul R. Morales, 27, 1230 S. French Rd., Lake Leelanau — Appeared for a bond hearing; no contact order continued; twice daily preliminary breath tests to continue; bond continued.
