Township assures family park plan remains priority

Suttons Bay Township's efforts to acquire property for a new park on the corner of County Road 633 and Herman Road are still moving ahead despite delays imposed by the Michigan legislature on grants awarded by the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund.

'07 building permits, value continue downward trend

So far this year, the estimated construction value associated with building permits issued by the Leelanau County Building Inspections department is down a whopping 47 percent from last year, and the number of building permits issued is down more than 20 percent from the same time in 2006.

11 minors ticketed for having alcohol face county magistrate
