Northport artist Thomas Bowker will host a stonecarving demonstration Saturday at By The Bight Art Gallery and Studio of Northport.

Bowker will hand-carve stone pieces and share his methods for developing his sculpture.

The demonstration will be held at the gallery, located two miles north of Northport on E. Woolsey Lake Rd., from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 386-7019.

On Friday, Aug. 3, Bowker will also be featured in a show and reception, “New Sculptures in Stone: Peace Series,” from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the gallery.
