The book, published by Wayne State University Press as part of the “Made in Michigan Writer’s Series,” features 11 short stories narrated by a diverse array of characters.

She will be signing copies of her new book at Leelanau Books in Leland on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 1-2:30 p.m. and give a reading at the Painted Horse Gallery in Northport, in conjunction with Dog Ears Books, on Sunday, Aug. 5 at 2 p.m.
