I enjoy farmers markets. They offer fresh fruit, veggies, flowers and much more. Plus, you get to chat with friends and neighbors while supporting our local farmers. A very nice way to spend a Saturday; hope to see you there.
Remember to keep Sunday open for the “Trip Down Memory Lane” tour of the new museum in Omena. If you have not been to the museum, it’s worth the trip to see the great job the Omena Historical Society has done. The tour starts at 4:30 p.m.
Also plan to spend Saturday, Aug. 4, in Northport. That is the day of Northport’s Pig Roast and Community Picnic from 2-5 p.m. at the Northport Marina Park.
Omena’s Club 21 will hold its annual bake sale on Aug. 4 a the Omena post office from 9 a.m. to noon. Stop by – the bake goods are great and its also a bit of a social event.
