1914-2007

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Suttons Bay, for Margaret M. Priest, formerly of Suttons Bay, who died July 28 in Cookeville, Tenn. She was 93.

She was born Jan. 26, 1914, in Bowie, Md., the daughter of John and Mary Stallman. Her husband, Edward Herman Priest, preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1962.

She worked for many years in Traverse City at Burwood Products, from which she retired.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathaleen (Lynn) Hayes and Edna Schopieray of Cookeville; three sisters, Elizabeth Houdek, Mary Vollink and Cecelia Stenburg; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Henry Stallman; three sisters, Hilda Gauthier, Gertrude Schlueter and Catherine Roubal; and a granddaughter.
