OK, it's a little warm, so go jump in the lake.

This is a big week. Wednesday, Aug. 8, the Glen Lake Community Library annual vintage book sale preview was running from 7-9 p.m. Today, Aug. 8, the book sale will be held at the Glen Arbor Township Hall from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Thursday through Saturday: The Glen Arbor Sidewalk Sales.

Friday and Saturday, The Port Oneida Fair.

Sunday: The Empire Lions Club Annual Auction and Yard Sale at Johnson Park, starting at 10 a.m.
Speaking of the Empire Lions Club, its annual Chicken BBQ was a huge success and word is that this was the best one ever.

Happy anniversary to Stacey and Richard Wilcox.

The Glen Arbor Women's Club's first annual 5k run/walk was an unbelievable success, with close to 400 run/walkers and much more financially successful than the Smorgasbord. Congratulations to the club and everyone who was involved.

If you went by the tent city in Empire this weekend, I think you had to realize that the Dunegrass Festival is a huge event now. I hope everything went well and without incident.
