1922-2007

No services are planned for Paul Mack Gardner of Traverse City who died Aug. 5. He was 85.

He was born in Traverse City on Feb. 3, 1922, to Clarence and Amalia (Voegli) Gardner. In 2002, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, the former Ruth E. Ormond.

He attended the University of Michigan then served as a Naval aviator before returning to Traverse City. After a long career with Consumers Power Company, he and his wife moved back to their cottage on Lake Leelanau to enjoy their retirement. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his children, Mike, Tom (Barb Zupin) and Katie (Dave) Taberski.
