Jonathan B. Bumgardner, son of Jonathan and Brenda Bumgardner of Black River, Mich., has been named to the National Society of High School Scholars.

Bumgardner attends the Alcona Junior/Senior High School and is the grandson of John Bumgardner and the late Mary Lou Bumgardner of Suttons Bay.
