The Grand Traverse Pioneer and Historical Society in collaboration with the Bay Area Transportation Authority will offer a trolley tour in Traverse City Sunday.
The historic tour will run from 1 to 3 p.m., and registration is $10 per person. Seats may be reserved by calling 995-0313 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The trolley tour is led by local historian Bob Wilson, past president of the Grand Traverse Pioneer & Historical Society and author of Grand Traverse Legends, Volumes 1-3.
The following week, the Historical Society will host its annual Heritage Days on Sept. 12 and 13. The two-day event will present a living history pageant that spans 300 years of our heritage. Presentations are scheduled by 50 costumed volunteers who will demonstrate pioneer life stills.
Historical reenactments and historical depictions will take place on the banks of the Boardman River, near Hannah Park in Traverse City.
