1918-2007

Services were held Saturday at Holy Rosary Parish in Isadore for Irene Veronica Fabiszak of Centerville Township who died Sept. 5 at her daughter’s Traverse City home. She was 89.
She was born March 11, 1918, in Centerville Township. She was the daughter of Jacob Bodus and Blanche Kowalski. On June 1, 1937, at Holy Rosary Parish, she married Myron Fabiszak who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1977.
She was a graduate of the O’Brien School and later worked for 17 years at United Technology. Her life was centered on her faith and her family. She was noted for her excellent cooking.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Helen) Fabiszak of Traverse City, Joseph Fabiszak of Cedar, Evelyn Livingston of Suttons Bay, Rose Anne Petsch of Traverse City, Germaine (Donald) Schmidt of Honor, Dorothy (Dale) Fritz of Empire, Alice (Robert) Nink of Grand Haven, Clara (Ronald) Bonebrake of Traverse City; her siblings, Josephine Hosack of Alexandria., Neb., Belle Routt of Muskegon, Theresa (Eddie) Petrowski of Cedar, Margaret Mundrich of Sterling Heights, Anthony Bodus of Cedar, Teddeus Bodus of Detroit, Leonard (Ruth) Bodus of Maryland Heights, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Stanley Fabiszak; and siblings, Florence April, Sophie Zywicki, Mary Ksiezarsz, Phyllis Wasinski, Esther Bodus, Xavier, Lawrence, and infant brother Harry Bodus.
