Museum sets fall hours in Northport

The Northport Area Heritage Association has adopted new fall hours, effective immediately.

The group’s museum, located at the old Northport depot, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 31. Other hours are available by appointment.

On Nov. 10, the association will host its annual Family History Day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Northport Public School. Family histories are sought this year along with interesting collections. Space my be reserved by calling Stef Staley at 386-7195.

There will be four different antique appraisers on site — one for sporting goods; one for ephemera (cards and paper items, etc.); one for fine arts and silver items; and one for general antiques. Each appraisal has a cost of $5.
