Supervisor, James Neve called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.

Board members present: James Neve, Denise Dunn, Deb Van Pelt, Gary Fredrickson and Victor Goldschmidt.

Also present: two citizens and two staff members.

After the Pledge of Allegiance, the Board and citizens present had a moment of silence to remember the victims of 09-11-01.

No Public Comment.

Agenda set as amended.

Approved August 14, 2007 minutes as amended.

Approved Current Bills in the amount of $50,177.04.

Approved Tax Levies for 2007-08, at the Public Hearing, to be set as follows: General Fund millage at 0.5359 mills, General Fund Additional millage at 0.3892 mills, Police Services millage at 0.2668 mills, Facilities Fund millage at 0.3000 mills and Emergency Services millage at 2.0357 mills.

Approved amendments in Budget for fiscal year April 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008.

Approved a Resolution to remove parcel # 045-008-225-015-00 from Leelanau Township Sewer Special Assessment District 2005-1 Roll.

Approved the Leelanau County Fire Department Mutual Aid Agreement.

Approved amendments to the Personal Services Contract for Assistance to the Zoning Administrator.

Reports heard from Library; Deb Stannard, NEMS; Pat Burguard, Planning Commission; Denise Dunn. Report from Fire Department; Hugh Cook was accepted as received.

Approved Access and Use of Legal Counsel Policy with changes.

Deferred discussion of draft Sign Ordinance, draft Outdoor Lighting Ordinance and Nuisance Ordinance to October 9, 2007 Board meeting.

Discussed Leelanau County Summit on Intergovernmental Cooperation meeting attended by Victor Goldschmidt.

Public comment was heard from Jim Thomas.

Announcement of Sunshine Laws Workshop attended by Victor Goldschmidt.

Petitions have been received in reference to speed on Omena Point Road.

Announced that an election will take place on November 6, 2007 and of a likely January 15, 2008 election.

Meeting adjourned at 10:07PM.
