The 6th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, in downtown Traverse City.

he noncompetitive walk supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to fight cancer. Similar walks around the country have raised more than $230 million since 1993. In last year’s Traverse City event, more than 500 northern Michigan walkers took part and raised nearly $50,000.
