The Benzie-Leelanau Health Department will hold four flu shot clinics this month.
The Binsfeld Center in Lake Leelanau will be the site of the first two clinics, scheduled from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 to 3:30 p.m. on both Monday, Oct. 15 and Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Hours will be the same at the health department building in Benzonia on Wednesday, Oct. 17 and Friday, Oct. 26.
The Centers for Disease Control suggested the flu vaccine should be received by those 50 and older, children six month to 5 years of age, those with chronic health conditions, pregnant women, health care personnel, and care-givers of people who are at high risk for flu.
There are no restrictions on vaccines this year and are available for anyone 5 months and older.
Cost of the flu shots are $30, or Medicare Part B. Pneumonia shorts are $45, or Medicare Part B.
