Georgiana and James Fenton of Leland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 14.

The former Georgiana Clark and James Fenton were married on Sept. 14, 1957 at Old Christ Church in Detroit.

The Fentons have summered in Leland since 1980, moving here permanently in 1995. Georgiana Fenton, daughter of Col. and Mrs. C.E. Frazer Clark, also summered in Leland as a child.

The couple celebrated their anniversary at The Homestead resort with their daughters, Georgiana Vailliencourt (Bill) of Brighton and Jennifer of Cedar, and their five grandchildren.
